COMPANY FAQ:
Still have questions? We know finding the right dance home is an important decision, and we’re here to support you along the way. Explore our FAQ or reach out anytime. When you’re ready, we can’t wait to welcome you into The Dance Space Company fam!
-
Being a company member means being part of a community built on artistry, growth, teamwork, and connection. Company is more than rehearsals and performances — it’s an opportunity to challenge yourself, develop as an artist, and create meaningful work alongside other passionate dancers.
-
Being part of company means showing up with commitment, professionalism, and respect for the people around you. This includes arriving prepared and ready to work, treating dancers and faculty with respect, being open to feedback, communicating clearly, supporting your teammates, and representing The Dance Space positively both inside and outside of the studio.
Communication is an important part of being a successful company member. If a conflict comes up, dancers are expected to notify the Director as soon as possible. Excessive absences, repeated tardiness, or missed rehearsals may impact performance opportunities, as consistency, preparation, and teamwork are essential to the success of the company.
-
Our companies are for dancers who want more than weekly classes and are looking for a deeper dance experience. Company gives dancers the opportunity to continue growing their technique, explore their artistry, perform, create meaningful work, and be part of a committed team.
Along with regular training, company members receive access to exclusive experiences such as guest artists, Company Labs, creative projects, performance opportunities, and personalized guidance. You do not need to be a professional dancer to join — we value commitment, curiosity, teamwork, and a willingness to learn just as much as experience.
Company is a space for dancers who want to continue evolving, stay connected to their artistry, and be part of something meaningful.
-
We understand our dancers are balancing many commitments, which is why we strive to create a meaningful experience that fits into your schedule. Company members attend one weekly rehearsal, take one required technique or ballet class and one elective class, and participate in performances throughout the season. Most dancers can expect a commitment of 1–2 evenings per week, with occasional additional rehearsals scheduled leading up to performances.
-
Company members participate in seasonal productions, showcases, and additional performance opportunities throughout the year. Depending on the opportunity, dancers may also be considered for community performances, professional gigs, and creative projects.
-
Company members receive unlimited classes at a discounted company member rate of $95/month, along with access to company-specific opportunities, training experiences, and member perks throughout the season.
Additional costs associated with company include:
$80 costume fee per session (Fall and Spring) per company
Required dance shoes and personal items
Any additional optional opportunities communicated throughout the season
We strive to keep additional costs as minimal as possible while still providing meaningful performance and training experiences for our dancers.
