DRESS CODE

Wearing the proper attire to dance class is important! Proper dance attire can completely change their posture, and in the right dancewear, a dancer feels more confident and willing to take on the challenge of any new step or skill. Dancers at all levels can benefit from wearing proper dress code when they are in class, rehearsing, and performing.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

  • PRE-K & MINI BALLET/TAP/JAZZ

    This is an introductory class containing ballet, jazz and tap. Dancers will learn the basic steps of ballet and tap while learning how to follow direction and imitate movement. The goal is to prepare these young dancers to move on into higher levels of ballet class in a positive and fun environment. Engaging music is used to get these little ones inspired to dance.

  • JR./TEEN TECHNIQUE

    This class is for dancers who have learned the basic technical skills already, and wish to strengthen those as well as work on new progressions. Dancers will learn the proper technique for intermediate level skills and flexibility as well as learn a variety of style combos.

  • GROOVE

    Groove is a fun and energetic open-level hip-hop dance class for ages 6+. This fun class inspires creativity and teaches the fundamentals of hip-hop technique. Students will develop coordination, strength, dance technique, rhythm, and body awareness in a caring, exciting, nurturing environment. This class is an excellent way for dancers to be introduced to the many benefits of the performing arts.

  • BALLET

    Ballet will maximize technique and longevity in a career of dance. It provides grace, poise, and technique needed to be proficient in all other areas of dance. Ballet classes will help dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self-discipline, and self-confidence.

    Dancers should expect to remain in certain levels for more than one session to acquire proper technique, alignment and understanding of ballet fundamentals. Instructors will give recommendations based on class performance and evaluation. Contact us for questions.

  • CONTEMPORARY

    Contemporary combines ballet, jazz and modern techniques with musical and emotional expression. Dancers will work on ability to pick up stylized choreography and movements. Recommended for dancers age 10+ with some prior dance experience.

  • LYRICAL

    This class challenges dancers to use choreography and movement to interpret music and express emotion. Dancers learn to express emotions derived from lyrics to convey the dance’s meaning.​ Prior ballet and/or jazz experience recommended.

  • TINY TOTS

    Tiny Tots is a fun, interactive class introducing movement to young dancers. The instructor uses games, stories, and songs to teach balance, rhythm, movement, coordination, and basic ballet steps. Recommended for ages 2-3.

  • OPENL LEVEL ACRO

    Tumbling is centered on fundamental acrobatic technique to increase flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, endurance, timing, body awareness, self-discipline, and confidence. Classes focus on proper hand placement and body alignment with emphasis on the muscles and flexibility required to perform proper technique. Dancers will learn forward rolls, backwards rolls, cartwheels, bridges and more!
