Amanda Fabian is a Charleston native dancer, instructor, and arts professional whose journey back to dance has been anything but traditional—and exactly what it was meant to be. Though she began dancing at a young age, it wasn’t until high school that she truly connected with movement as a form of self-expression. She trained with the Wando Dance Program and briefly at Tapio School of Dance, exploring ballet, contemporary, and hip hop. During her senior year, Amanda found a creative home at Peace Love Hip Hop, where she began to develop her own voice—musically driven, emotionally expressive, and unapologetically authentic.

She carried that spirit into college, performing with student-led dance groups at the University of South Carolina before transferring to the College of Charleston, where she danced with the Cougarettes Dance Team from 2016–2017. After the season, Amanda took a much-needed pause from both school and dance to pursue another passion—music. What began as a love for live shows and music festivals soon evolved into a career in arts management. She immersed herself in artist development, venue operations, and event coordination, ultimately earning her Bachelor’s degree in Arts Management from the College of Charleston, with a concentration in the Music Industry and a minor in Art History.

Amanda’s passion for live performance—whether she’s on stage or behind the scenes—has fueled every step of her creative path. In 2024, she returned to dance through Commercial and Industry Hip Hop classes and the adult company Dynamics at The Dance Space. What began as a personal reconnection quickly transformed into a powerful rediscovery: a renewed love for movement, a sense of belonging, and the simple joy of dancing again.

Now, as an instructor, Amanda brings a high-energy, music-first approach to her classes, creating an environment where dancers of all backgrounds feel free to show up authentically, move with confidence, and—most importantly—have fun without judgment. When she’s not in the studio, you’ll likely find her at a concert, planning her next festival trip, or working behind the scenes at one of Charleston’s many creative events. For Amanda, dance and music continue to collide in the best possible way—and she’s honored to share that passion with the Dance Space community.
