DEASURA SIDBERRY
DeAsura Sidberry is a dancer and choreographer from New Bern, North Carolina. She began her training at a local studio and with her high school dance team before earning a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography—along with a Certificate in Entrepreneurship—from East Carolina University.
While at ECU, DeAsura served as President of the East Carolina Dance Association and Public Relations Coordinator for the dance program, in addition to being an active member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) and the North Carolina Dance Education Organization (NCDEO).
She has studied with an array of distinguished artists and companies through masterclasses and clinics, including Tiffany Rea-Fisher, Kannon Sap, the Radio City Rockettes, Pilobolus, Top Cats, Richard Smith, Joe Joe Grooves, Donna Vaughn, and Lil Buck, among many others. Her teaching and choreographic work have extended across multiple studios in North Carolina and, most recently, at the College of Charleston in South Carolina, where she assisted Jayme Host, Dean of the School of the Arts.
DeAsura currently dances with Charleston Dance Project and Charleston Modern Collective, where she continues to expand her artistry and collaborative practice.
Through her diverse experiences, DeAsura has cultivated a versatile foundation in performance and choreography, blending technical precision with creative exploration. She is thrilled to begin her new journey in South Carolina and looks forward to sharing her passion for dance with her new community.
