Kristen Bertolino grew up in the small town of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, where her love for dance first began. She spent her formative years training in a variety of styles at Center Stage School of Performing Arts, building not only strong technique but also a deep appreciation for movement and expression. While attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Kristen continued to fuel her passion through Blank Canvas Dance Company, where she choreographed original works and served on the executive board for two years—helping lead and inspire her fellow dancers.

In the fall of 2021, Kristen made the move to Charleston, where she quickly found a new creative home at The Dance Space. Since joining the studio, she has continued to train and grow as a dancer while performing as a dedicated member of the studio’s performance companies. Kristen is deeply grateful for the sense of community, growth, and inspiration she’s found through dance, and she’s excited to share that same joy and connection with her students.
